Health, Safety & Environment Manager (m/f/d)

Job Description:

In this exciting role you will lead the Safety & Environment Team in our chocolate factory in Viersen, Germany. In this role, you are a member of the Plant Leadership Team and you will report directly into our Plant Manager. You will be managing a team of 2-3 people and there is a very close connection with the regional and global HSE teams.

• Proven experience in operations and Work-Safety ideally within a leadership role
• Lead a meaningful change for the unit and team
• Strong in building and maintaining effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders throughout the organization
• Strong affinity with Health, Safety, and Environmental related matters
• Proven ability and drive to translate a roadmap into rigorous execution
• Experience in leading cultural transformation and drive a mindset & behavior change
• Ability to engage both teams and individuals to face challenging and changing situations

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Co-create regional HSE Agenda based on x-site HSE priorities
• Lead the local HSE strategy with the Plant Leadership Team, aligned with regional HSE strategy and local HSE priorities
• Drive the site agenda as core member of Leadership Team
• Lead the deployment of the local HSE agenda
• Coach & support leaders and teams to drive right safety behaviors and mindset across business
• 0 injuries mindset & behavior journey, aligned with global and regional Strategy
• Provide leadership to HSE organization by managing directly the local HSE team
• Foster learning from the best of all and more in the regional HSE Community and beyond.
• Build effective community of practice, use their knowledge of the business to build an effective HSE agenda for their site, leveraging existing best practices in relevant matters
• Development of the team
