HSE & Facilities Lead

Key Tasks:

  • This position is a member of the Site Business Support Leadership Team supporting all operations and functions at the site.
  • Leadership responsibility for the site safety, environmental, and maintenance professionals.
  • High personal proficiency, delegation of tasks, coordinating operations, developing/coaching others, and collaborating across sites and regions to innovate and improve processes.
  • Actively develop team members through mentoring, coaching, training, competency determination, recognition, creation of Individual Development plans, appraisals/reviews, and performance management.
  • Leads, supports and facilitates internal and external activities to protect our License to Operate.
  • Lead and manage five housing facilities that can have over 400 seasonal employees during peak seasons.
  • Serve as a leader of projects on broader NA initiatives which may include off-site responsibility and cross-functional or peer sites.
  • Create and track KPIs, use data/analytics to drive improved site performance
  • Supports and provides leadership in production system efforts that drive continuous improvement initiatives & leverage cost-saving opportunities.
  • Create and drive site strategy that ensures safety first, quality-focused, reliable maintenance, continuous improvement, and digital transformation culture.
  • Lead and develop HSE, maintenance strategy across the site with new initiatives for rollout and implementation
  • Lead and drive awareness, ownership, and accountability of the HSE program at the site while working with site management and staff to achieve goals
  • Represents and contributes to the site s involvement in community outreach
  • Complies with all governing laws/codes and corporate policy in relation to facilities, HSE, and housing.

Qualification & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and their teams
  • Results-oriented leadership approach
  • Capability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through oral or written communications
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgment
  • Must have availability to meet overtime demands, including occasional work on weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, SSHE or Environmental Related
